Loving What You Do

Why do you remember an important event from ten years ago, but may not remember the answer to the question you just studied or the name of the person you just met?

The events you remember are events when you were completely, 100% ‘in the moment’. Being in the moment means that you are mentally, emotionally and physically completely RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.

Try this:
When you eat your next meal, give your full attention first to the sense of taste. Try to taste every ingredient of the food. Add the sense of smell, smelling the food as you eat it. Next, add the sense of touch. Feel the texture of the food in your mouth. Pay close attention to the appearance of the food, noticing all of the colors you see. Hearing may be the most difficult sense to apply to eating, but give it your best shot.

The next day, try to remember all of the details of that meal. Chances are, you will remember the vast majority of it. You will probably even remember it for months. You can apply the same practice to every area of your life and get amazing results!
